Having been into fitness and martial arts for practically all my life and being that I am a certified personal trainer myself, I never really considered procuring the services of a personal trainer for myself. Recently I started to notice the affects that age is having on my metabolism. I can’t say enough about working with Better Health Studios. My trainer Joel has a great way of motivating me while easing into a serious workout on the days that it’s hard to muster up the energy. I don’t want some “hyper drill sergeant” walking in, and I don’t want someone who’s going to let me slack off either. Somehow with his great manner, he gets me to do it. Also I love the luxury of Joel coming to my home. That way I know I’m going to fit in my work out.
When I started working with Joel a year ago, at the age of 44, my goals were to achieve increased strength, lose 10-15lbs, flexibility and improve my overall general fitness level especially after my train accident that nearly left me crippled. I work with Joel 3 times a week 60min each time he structured my workout program to the T in addition to cardiovascular workouts which I did on my own.
